This was the very first item donated to Dr. Connor for the yet to be built S-BRITE Center.  It was donated by the Canadian Pacific Railway and is still used today in S-BRITE’s training efforts.   A portion of the girder was flame cut away as part of the research for TPF-5(253) which was focused on developing the AASHTO Guides Specifications for evaluating internal redundancy.  The members have significant corrosion and pack-out.    Interestingly, the girders were also used as a make-shift fixture at the Bowen Laboratory for work conducted as part of NCHRP 10-72 to support a tandem axle rolling load device.
